Yikes! So I guess I haven’t written on my blog since Christmas?
A few notes about Saturn and Venus
There’s been a lot going on. As you might remember I’m a Pisces Sun and Moon currently getting dominated (I mean “restructured”) by Saturn in Pisces. It’s been difficult but incredibly important so far, and my Saturnian journey has really just begun. I won’t get relief until Saturn is at least halfway through Pisces. I’m embracing it as much as someone who profoundly struggles with Saturn can embrace it. I recently treated myself to a chart consult with a prominent astrologer who shook her head at how a challenged Saturn is at odds with so much in my natal chart… It’s not like I’m making this stuff up people! That said, I believe I have honestly given thanks to Saturn multiple times this year already for busting me out of my Neptunian fog, holding me down, and making me face some serious realities. You know what Saturn has taught me so far? My instincts are nearly always right and overruling them only gets me into trouble. But how do you follow your instincts when you are repeatedly told by “experts” that you’re wrong? Anyway, I will be better for it, but the path there isn’t easy. This is all sounding quite mysterious, so I promise to have a blog post about Saturn’s journey over my luminaries in the year ahead.
So, in other astrological news, how’s your Venus retrograde been going? I’ve been joking that mine has been a bit of a Venus “Retrograyed”… I have a light-hearted story for you. So my amazing hairdresser (shout out to Natalie) is off on maternity leave. I had ample time to prepare for this and found a back-up. (My lady friends: y’all know what happens when your hair girl goes off for six months. There’s some stress especially when you have thick curly hair that needs to be thinned out on the regular.) So, I purposely booked this back-up BEFORE Venus was officially retrograde. Was it in retroshade? For sure. But I tried my best given her schedule. Two days before my appointment, I got a call from the salon. My back-up broke her wrist the night before and was no longer able to do my hair. So, in a scramble I found someone else, but by the time I got in, it was full-on Venus retrograde. To make a long story short, there was some sort of miscommunication at my appointment, and I ended up with full-on gray hair instead of blond highlights. (I believe he used a purple toner.) This happened during a particularly rough day. I had just found out that I had a significant tear in my shoulder in addition to the tear in my hip (both requiring surgery), so I was not in the mood. I came home from the appointment, looked in the mirror and saw that my hair was actually more gray than my 73 year old mother’s untreated head and burst into tears. The good news is that the situation was rectified, and I’m back to my usual sunny(ish) strands. The shoulder and hip – that’s another story… But what a Venus Retrograyed thing to happen. I can hear my husband’s voice in my head right now [“Are we actually talking about your hair again?”] so I’ll cut the chitchat and move onto the real reason for this post.
Natal Chart Rectification Course
I’m super excited to FINALLY offer a unique course on Natal Chart Rectification starting in September! I’ve been promising it for years (literally). In this eight-week class, I’ll be sharing with you my personal techniques for rectifying natal charts. We’ll be looking at case studies of actual clients who had no idea of their birth time as well as clients who provided a birth time but I fine-tuned it.
Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:
Class 1 – Philosophy & Physiology
Class 2 – The chart needs to make sense
Class 3 – Actual client examples
Class 4 – Reverse-engineering the chart using predictive techniques
Class 5 – Two complete case studies
Class 6 – A couple of other techniques
Class 7 – Live chart rectification
Class 8 – Final class Q&A
You can audit the course, or, if you’d like to complete your own chart rectification to submit for credit, it will count as your required rectification course for the Canadian Association for Astrological Education (CAAE) diploma. This course is right for you only if you’re comfortable with working with triwheels and have a solid understanding of transits and progressions. Please contact me via email or the contact form on my website to secure your spot specifying which track you’d like to pursue. I’ll be in touch to confirm your place.
Okay y’all. That’s it for now.
Hope to see you in September.
